Documentary

To launch the Because I am a Girl movement across Canada, we sent a documentary team from coast-to-coast talking to teen girls in Canada about what it means to be a girl – here at home and in the developing world.

Going on tour introduced the team to hundreds of amazing and inspirational girls that have already started to change the world. Girls like Hayley Wickenheiser (right), from Canada's National Women's Hockey Team.

Girls like Willa who shaved her head to raise money for girls in Africa.  Girls like Samah (below) whose mother moved her family to Canada for a better life.

The documentary tour is now complete and the team is hard at work editing the final documentary which will be premiered at a special Pink Carpet Premiere in 2010.
